LO4 - Reflection

At the start of the unit I had a few ideas like talking about sports which I watch like football and then even talking about a book series called CHERUB which I have read every book. Once I got with my group we came up with an idea which we all had really good knowledge and access to so we came up with a gaming podcast because we all have a strong knowledge about a number of games spread across many different platforms. Finley told us that he plays a lot of games on the computer through steam which he had a really good knowledge about games which he had played for a lot of hours, Bailey had really good knowledge about the playstation and about a lot of the new upcoming games for it and I had access to both the new xbox, playstation and old Xbox with a variety of games which I had spend many hours on each of them which we put into content telling people if the game was actually worth the amount it was being sold for, what could be improved, if you should buy the new Xbox One or Playstation 4 or even just stick with the computer and go through places like steam , advantages and disadvantages or whether there was another game on the market which you should buy instead

Genre: The genre of the podcast is gaming with humor from different hosts which we will be bringing on to give there opinion about different games with the show being informal but informative.

Description: The podcast is about a variety of different games for different consoles with a number of different hosts coming onto the show to give their opinion about different games and consoles whilst being funny to humor the audience. There is also a chance for the audience to enter into a giveaway competition which generates money to keep the show running and gives the audience a chance to win a game which we have been talking about. We also talk about advantages and disadvantages to games, the price and upcoming games and consoles.

Style of the podcast: The style of the podcast is informal which is more appealing for young people and young adults instead of it being formal which some people might find boring especially when it's talking about games which people are meant to be excited by.

LO3 - Contingency Plan

I have joined a group with Finley and Bailey to create a radio show called "game2funnypeople" which is a radio show which talks about local and not local games with a review about each one. Nobody else is doing this idea of reviewing games on a talk show and we think it will do really well.

LO3 - Gap in the market

At the moment there aren't any radio shows which talk about a variety of games and actually offer the audience a chance to win one of the games which are being discussed. The show will feature games which have been developed by local companies like Sumo Digital. It will be advertised around Sheffield because some of the games will have been produced locally and there are a lot of students, teenagers, children and adults who play a variety of games.

At the moment there aren't any radio shows which talk about a variety of games. The show will advertise local developed games like games by Sumo Digital which have been designed in Sheffield. The show will also advertise games which are made in other countries like Forza, Call of duty and many others. The show will also give a chance for one of the audience to win one of the games which we have been talking about which will be supplied by one of the advertises which will be a games company. It will be advertised around Sheffield because some of the games which are talked about will have been designed in Sheffield and there is a big percentage of students, adults and children which play computer games.
